Kinda parallel to this idea, “mechanic-owned” should be under the same umbrella. It’s easy to fall under the spell of thinking the mechanic-owned equals “lovingly maintained,” but in many cases means “mechanic knew exactly when to sell it before it imploded.”

I dig it, but not so much that I’m willing to part with either of my creamy I-6 S60 R-Design and V60 R-Designs to get it. I understand that the power is roughly the same and the nod probably goes to the “of this century” transmission in the V90, but the Volvo I-6 is just that good.

I’ve never seen one in the flesh, but as a V60 owner, it’s starling to see the resemblance, especially in the greenhouse lines and stance. I wonder if both were drawn up during the Ford years.

That’s a great response and all, but in this case I don’t know that anyone has been pining for a Jaguar wagon. Usually, it’s “Welp, too bad it’s a Jaguar.” This particular car is a mild refresh of the Jag Estate that debuted at the 2012 Paris show and has been on sale across the pond for quite some time. Bravo to

It’s only shade if the shader is more successful than the shadee. Therefore, the 200 could only possibly cast shade on the worst of the 1986 Hyundai lineup, the 2001 Pontiac Aztek, all beak-era Acura cars, and anything equipped with the Iron Duke.

David is Jalopnik. If Jalopnik had a spirit-animal, it would be kept in a very-forgiving landlord’s garage. Reading his posts makes me weep softly as I forgo the things I used to do in the garage because I probably shouldn’t have greasy nails on Monday mornings.

I see what you did there. Nice.

Solid, quiet, supreme seats, decent interior... CPO Volvo S60/ V60 T6 (3.0l 6-cylinder). Should come in well under $35K, so use the spare cash on iTunes, Starbucks, or maybe a NP/ CP camper truck for weekends.

As a 20-year Volvo wagon owner and having driven a number of XC60s (my dealer’s favorite loaner)... I have sadly come to realize that I don’t want to live in a world where XC60s outsell wagons.

Poor Cadillac got so close, then ruined it with their lazy/ cheap C-pillar window styling mess.

Figure s90 price plus the usual approx $3K wagon surcharge.

Yep. When I bought my 2015 V60 R-D, my local dealer had one on the lot in an acceptable color (red), but theirs had the 50/50 leather-cloth interior. Because I wanted full leather, they did a dealer-trade to bring another one in from 5 states away. The one I bought was sitting on the lot for 8 months before I

I don’t recall how long these have been on the lots, but I’ve seen exactly one on the road.

The subwoofer in the frunk makes it instant NP for me.

God Bless Pierre Robert and WMMR. Though I moved out of PA many many years ago, my formative years were full of John DeBella and Mark the Shark, Pierre, and Michael Tearson. I miss AOR format.
