No one's rejecting Biracial/Mixed race people, I just think it'd be healthier to acknowledge Black people and Mixed race people as separate ethnic groups who share African ancestry. The fact is that people,Black, White, and Mixed, are using Biracial/Mixed women to marginalize Black women.

I'm not trying to erase mixed black people. I'm trying to recognize all of their heritage. Whites wanted to keep everything that touched black blood in the black box to maintain supremacy. By acknowledging people are biracial we are respecting our black race, while respecting biracial persons' mixed heritage.

Two black parents

Lol no. But I'd like in a black woman biopic for a black woman to play it. Black woman biopics don't come around often.

Sigh, white people have done SUCH a great job of maintaining their supremacy.

I feel like you're the one whos color struck. Blue and yellow do not green make. Just because the slave master told you anything that touches black is now black doesn't mean it is. It's not an INSULT. its insulting to not let black people define their race but allow white people to define all races. I think it's

No. History is FUCKED up. its like, if history was turned on its head, if black people had said anything that touches white is now white we want nothing to do with them, dont call them black, deny their black side, theyve been tainted by white that would be MESSED UP! How are we still defending this in 2014!?!

I think she looked black. We disagree sorry.

so you just ignore the half part? I said she was black...and white. Where's the argument?

that's fine. But if I had a daughter with a white man and my daughter looked white, which is plausible, happened with my cousin, and she told people she was white, I'd be hurt

I'm the asshole when you came telling me to "stop it" without an actual discussion. K. Peace

The president is black...and white

I guess I'm dense then. I just realize that mixed women have a different experience in life than black women. I understand they will be perceived as black women but that's based on society's teachings that one drop of black blood makes you black. It's literally from slavery to keep blood lines pure. I think it's

lol you're ridiculous. She's black...and white. She said the same thing why is this so difficult?

and she called herself biracial not me. Sorry I'm acknowledging that?

stop what? Questionin the way society has made everyone defend the one drop rule?

Not trying to hurt your feelings by kicking you out of the "black club". I just have an issue with Americas historical definition of being black. I don't think it's fair to have us deny a portion of our history. All of my great grandfathers were white but because my grandparents were born black they weren't able to

K. Again if you don't see how European features play into mixed women features I'm not really sure...how to make that connection for you.

How is calling out the fact that she has parents of two different races my own rules? The sky is blue too! Is that my rule?

for the third time. Did you read the article? Cuz SHE IS THE ONE THAT SAID SHES "BLACK ENOUGH"
