Would love to know if this company got any US gov money for their charger business. If they did, I sure hope that money get taken back. I knew the whole EV industry was a bit of a money suck, so now we will see how much of the gov subsidy money gets wasted into oblivion too, yea!

At least in the states I have lived, refusing a sobriety test is treated as a failure. I’ve seen the online “advice” that if you think you’ll fail the sobriety test, you should refuse it and delay as long as you can for the blood test in hopes that it will take multiple hours to get there so your body has more time to

Not for any place I’ve lived.

I used to work in a bike shop, and we had a similar story with a few year old bike. It was a common model, and iirc we actually did get a replacement, but it originally got pushed far back into a corner, and became a parts bike... like if another bike showed up with a part DOA, we’d just snag it from that parts bike

If my passengers ask about crumple zones, I tell them to wear a sweater.

I had a similar experience when doing some “spring cleaning” in my lab in grad school. It was mostly uneventful, but I found a box, about 9 inches on a side, unopened, that had a delivery date of 1994. This was in ~2013, mind you. It even had my boss’s name as the addressee, because it was back when he didn’t have

When I worked in clothing retail, I (an introvert) would beg to spend large chunks of my shifts managing inventory and dressing the store, rather than aggressively upselling our customers. One day I was reorganizing the stock room and uncovered an entire box of beautiful dresses that I’d never seen before, not even on

But honest question: how many people who live in major cities but also need a car DON’T need to regularly take a trip on freeways?

Must have been an amusing moment to see our own ship that we sunk ourselves back on the water and in use.

In other WWII news, an American bomb just detonated beneath a Japanese airport.

If we’d funded NASA like we’ve funded the military, then AAA would be able to pop those off and new ones on in half an hour, and that includes the driver marstronaut getting a Pumpkin spice latte from ActualStar-bucks.

I’ve started watching his videos from the moment he gifted that Ferrari to his dad after they rebuilt the engine (and the rest of the car) with zero knowledge on Ferrari’s. At first he came over as a bit of a wanker to me (heavy Leicester accent, weird clothes, tattoos all over, gauges in his ears) but after watching

Exec: “Why is no one buying the $35K MSRP 500E?”

They’re goofy looking, but honestly pretty endearing, and being purpose-built whilst also increasing safety and comfort is a huge win.

The degree of mismanagement at Stellantis and Chrysler is just....amazing.  But all of the big us automakers have just been fucking up.  They priced everything up too fast to get more profits and then it has caused a meltdown and consumers are just not buying.  But hey they got profits for a few years, bought back

Making the exact same car for 20 years and just increasing the size of the V8 and ignoring every other segment didn’t work out as a whole? Weird.

LEAVE STELLANTIS ALONE!  LEAVE HIM/HER/IT ALONE!

Corporations are people too*.

Stellantis said it took exception to the letter and that it doesn’t believe public personal attacks are the most effective way to solve problems.”

Weird how merging a bunch of terrible, poorly run car companies didn’t work out..
