Paying one guy already incredibly wealthy guy more money.

“we made a crap product that’s not selling.. what do we do??”

Because it absolutely MUST be the salespeople and definitely not the product or some other factor causing a sales decline. Couldn’t be anything like...

In fairness, the same is true at pretty much any publicly-traded company without a unionized workforce; they just don’t get Musk’s press (mainly because they don’t act like toddlers). My current employer is firing veteran engineers with decades of experience because they don’t want to move to Texas or some other

As someone who went to college for business, I can confirm that this is exactly how it works: When your product isn’t selling enough, you get rid of the people who sell it. The products that sell best are the ones that aren’t sold by anyone.

Ahh yes, because Tesla service is known for how fast it is, so let’s get rid of some technicians. Sales folks, ehh...who needs em?

1st Gear: For years people were praising Tesla’s on-line purchase model and slamming dealerships. What do dealerships have that on-line doesn’t? Salespeople. Getting rid of them indicates that they weren’t adding to the bottom line. The mention of technicans though would worry me if I was a potential customer.

4th gear: Tavares shouldn’t push the salary issue too hard; the last automotive CEO named Carlos had to be smuggled out of the country in a box.

front of house is anyone customer facing, think when you go to a dealership anyone you see not wearing technician shirts or hiding in managers offices are essentially front of house, sales/service advisors, porters, etc

If the fuel injectors don’t fit, you must acquit...to the dealership-

Chicago police claim

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like TRD is making parts for second gen Priuses. Going to have to settle for a go-fast sticker.

The Nissan whatever and terrible driver and/or low credit score joke has been around here for years. Last week was what is the best first car for a teenager. I think you are reaching for outrage on this one.

Brand new shiny super stock Dodge

I think that’s probably pretty standard for fish. The vast majority end up eaten by something else or dead from whatever. Don’t forget you’re one of 200,000,000 sperm.

Because the EV market got saturated quickly and demand was met multiple times over. But somehow, people didn’t see that coming because Tesla was the only game in town and their sales/production ramp was pretty crazy. Almost like all the business folks at all the other OEM’s forgot business 101 from a supply/demand

OMG, I’m old enough to remember seeing that commercial with the dummy when I was a kid. I thought it was awesome, and I asked my dad whether we could get a front-wheel seat like that, because it looked to me like the dummy was having way more fun than the guy behind him.

Oh great. Now the idiots that insist “Herp derp, seatbelts’ll kill ya, better to be ‘thrown clear’!” have video evidence of the exception to prove the rule.

IMAGINE signing up to be part of Musk’s Mars Colony. You can tell in advance he’ll pull a Cohaagen from Total Recall - controlling the oxygen, enslaving the workforce, stamping down on free speech (other than his own), letting his fascist tendencies blossom.

I saw almost 20 Lightnings on Saturday.  Now.. I was at the dealership getting the oil changed on my wife’s Eco-boost F-150.  But there were 18-20 on the lot.
