This Hamann hardtop is the closest thing to what you are describing, I guess.

You shouldn´t forget the middle guys, the ones with the six cilinders M52 and M54 and the wider rear track, rear wide fenders and revised rear suspension. Those will remain reasonable in price but they also have a nice 5 gear manual transmission, the silky six and the LSD in the rear. Perhpas the best ones to live

I’ve lusted after an M Roadster since they first came out. I think these cars are ready to start taking off in the collector market pretty soon. What I’m saying is that I expect these to be a good 10 your investment as they now seem to be bottoming-out in value and should only increase at this point.

Disagree. Even the early 1.9L Z3 is a properly fun car to throw around. It’s a Miata, but with a taller 4th and 5th gear for more comfortable highway cruising and more legroom since it was designed by Germans instead of Japanese. Plus, it weighs about 400 lbs less than the M. In other words, it’s a daily driveable

That guy is the dumbest husband on planet earth. Holy shit.

The Z3 looks about 1000X better than the e85 Z4. The e85 z4 is fun to drive and solid mechanically speaking but it is the worst looking BMW of the Bangle era. The e89 Z4 is great looking though.
