Of course if everyone rode bikes (and took trains and planes long distances), e- or not, there would be a lot fewer serious injuries. To some extent, lowering the bar to cycling makes us all safer, so practice the Wheaton principal (don’t be an asshole) when riding, but don’t spend too much of your time worrying if

The Rad folder is pretty rollable. Probably something you have already seen but worth a look if you haven't.

I’m going to caveate the recreational thing: Ihave a road bike for “just me” use, but there is no way I could make it up hills with both my kids w/o the ebike. There is a huge freedom to being able to go places on the bike and everyone loves it more than the car. That said, I also make a solid effort to use good bike

Mine does! It’s a RAD bike (wagon) and it was a bit less than $3k even after accessories. I’ve seen several base model ebikes (aka, just a bike, not a long tail or whatever) for hundreds instead of thousands new, which is admittedly a lot more than you can get a (probably stolen) junker steel frame schwinn off

On the upside, look up YouTube Music Remix... Google still has other things it has promised to kill in the queue before G+, and since it is apparently popular as a private network for businesses, they are committed to not killing it until they find a solution that works for g suite. It may still have years on it yet.

And they suck at building goodwill by maintaining their products in any reasonable way. They didn't used to be that way - I have even spoken directly to engineers there in the past, but events never worked right in G+ and that makes one of the core parts of a social network nonfunctional, so why would people stay?

Eh. Will Wheaton's experience on Mastadon is enough to convince me not to bother.

I agree with you, but there is one thing Google could have done to make users happy: make a working event listing/promoting/scheduling system that actually interfaced with calendar and maps in a functional way. If Google had gotten even just a modicum of actual venues on board, or really even just fixed the torture

So plus and inbox are out, play music is supposedly transitioning (maybe they decided not to and just hoped we all forgot?), Hangouts is in permanent limbo, fiber is...? I fully approve of Google cleaning house, but maybe they also need 6 months of no new releases until they fix, kill, or combine all the stuff they

Oh, I'm sure people will stop murdering each other to deal with this just like they have for every other problem in history. Wars only happen when there aren't major problems to solve, right?

Oh, yeah, those old money folks sure know how to set the example of modesty. Thats why nobody ever heard of names like Kennedy, Rockefeller, Carnegie, etc. and why college campuses famously don’t have anyone’s names on buildings except for exemplary educators. Yes, the humility of the old guard rich is beyond compare.

Schools also will add benefit by being filtered even if they are okay on federal tests. Reducing lead or any todin even a little for a few hundred kids is a much different outcome than for 1 or 5, making it worth while even if the water is ‘safe enough’.

Trust Jalopnik to have a collection of people who make themselves completely miserable (driving without stopping overnight) in a car but who absolutely would not consider an alternative, from occasionally flying to just stopping 30 mor minutes a day. If your time really is that precious, your 800 mile trips would

Once a year is regular? I fly more than once a year and that’s a much bigger PITA than renting a car. But okay.

I can’t fix the part about charging, except to say that maybe this is a classic case of the perfect being the enemy of the good. That said, our second car is a gas SUV, which we crossed the country in just over a year ago. While I picked up an ebike to mitigate my usage, the SUV is still putting several miles on a

Please write more articles! I generally like the stuff on this site, but I both learned something actually interesting and GOL (gaffawed out loud, and no one sayd they gaffawed unless they really did). Thank you!

Yeah, I don’t know about the ‘kill the 3DS’ idea, but I think a pocket portable switch would be cool. A dock to a short throw portable projector could be a sweet little accessory too.

Text size has less to do with readability than text clarity. I'm typing on a cell phone much smaller than the switch but it is definitely easier to read.

There's like this weird aftertaste. It's not t9o bad in savoury things but it's not always amazing.
