My understanding is that there is plenty of Lithium, it’s just hard to get to (like, in solution in the ocean). That’s not great, but it’s soluble (pun intended).

Do we have any idea if the split was before or after multi-cellular life? Do we share a common bacterial ancestor or are we basically evolved from fungi?
There are ps3 emmulators for the PC though... or have been. Obviously if the project gets large enough to attract the ire of Sony, it goes away fast.
Yeah, but xbox is built basically on Windows and x86 architecture, where Sony is not as straight forward (obviously they can't be too weird or else games won't do the work to port, but they also have to avoid intellectual property infringement and make it a little challenging to emulate games, which ultimately means…
Undoubtedly they are run on sony servers, not PC's...
Except these look like some cold war era cosmonaut style gear you would pick up at a mil surplus store and not an Elon Musk fever dream. It’s not retro-futeristic, but it is retro.
I think, though, if you look at other genres, they are absolutely defined by their setting and not by the story. Cyber- and steam-punk both exist in worlds with certain aesthetics, but the stories are mostly not set by the genre, same largely with horror and frankly with fantasy... with a few notable exceptions like…
Nice collection!
I have seen some things very like a smart wall and it just strikes me as... Superfluous. I am not saying I don’t see the use of large scale display (I likes me some IMAX, always have) but given the noise already present in our lives it's not something I would want to live with constantly... and when I do want to be…

Yeah, that second part... not so easy.
Which makes this even more problematic. Knowing someone will say yes tomorrow because you just asked is one thing. Knowing someone will sort of put their life on hold for several years while a game is developed is... something you can't know actually, as we see here.
No one else. Not one of the 100 or so basically identical responses.
Which is why I think the insight to make it about the grandma in the patch is actually really good. It sort of tells those white knights where to shove it.
And like pets, it’s hard to lose them, especially if it comes down to a mostly financial decision. You can’t blame people for getting attached. You can blame them for not moving on, sure, but in the moment, people are going to be emotional.
Also, take a deep breath and consider that the generation most influenced by these is a generation subjected to worldwide lead poisoning, increased exposure to radioactive elements (which are chemically pretty gnarly even in small amounts) and all kinds of ‘better living through chemestry’ ranging from wiide spread…
The reflection off the spacecraft is super crisp and so are the clouds in the distance. That’s not how focus works. :) The colors refecting are too vibrant too, remembering that this thing has been in space for a while and isn’t going to shine like a showroom Harley.
Yeah, intellectual property law in the US is anything but cut and dry. Also, it’s not like this is an official legal opinion piece, why would anyone pay a lawyer $1000 an hour for an official opinion when this whole story probably cost less than $50 worth of work?
Eh. Con is a pretty well understood term. SDCC may have made it that way, but they aren’t claiming that ‘con’ is their trademark. So if we accept that Steam Con is NOT a trademark infringement, then a gathering of people to discuss comics should be called ‘Comic Gathering’? Comic Fair? Seems syntactically ambigious. I…
Moreover because this is apperently becoming a trend. You know, like the article said?
Didn't James Bond already have this plot?
