It seems like a lot of the conjecture here is "We don't really know if he did or not" rather than "No, he didn't". It seems awfully coincidental if Stoker drew no inspiration whatsoever from that figure. Also, I was under the impression that "Dracul" meant "Dragon", not Devil.
