they are using an AMD cpu and GPU, I’m willing to bet AMD cut them a deal. the new Ryzen 7nm process should make production runs cheaper beause they can get more CPUs from the same amount of silicon as they did on the older processes.

analog my friend. I think it was something like 240 x 352 or might have been the other way around. most of the CRT tvs could do better, it was just the signals being sent and used never got there until the digital revolution

Yea the floppy power cable was reversible for some unknown reason. I did it a couple times, but never got a smoke/burning from it.

right? Like of all the things that got a standard, why not those cables? I mean, if the case didn’t have activity lights, just dont run a wire to that pin. But all cases have a power and reset switch at least..

by IDE power cable do you mean a 4 pin molex connector? seriously how did you get that to go in wrong? It only fits one way.. and I dont see how that would cause it melt and start smoking.. at the worst it would have screwed the drive up. You must have shorted the contacts some how.
