I was 12, but I had dial up. Back then (1996) the internet was a trove of actual information. and not a commercialized landmine laden festering pool. I learned so much, how to format a HDD and load the system files so it would boot.

a friend of my dads had a dog who got on the wrong end of a horse. He sniffed her colts nose.. the threw him into a tree. (and by pure magic he got stock in the branches. saddest/funniest thing I’ve ever seen. He never went near those horses again.)

I am honestly not sure. according to the wiki it is a holding company and is listed on the NY stock exchange. So maybe in Missouri its treated as a gov owned utility.. I know its the only one my city has. The next town over (Columbia MO) has their own city owned power and water utility.

hell the state of Missouri charges a fee to pay your tax bill with a credit/debit card. So does my electric company (of which I dont have a choice of)

Okay, I have heard that song, it was quite some time ago. didnt realize it was jeferson airplane. (i’m an 80s kid, but I had 4 older siblings. so I hear all kinds of random songs and never had any idea who they where lol.)

What happened to cadilac? I remember when they brought out the CTS and started to kick ass for a while, then.. it just kind fizzled. (I think the rounding of their design helped with the start of the down fall.. that edgy art & science design they had going was a welcome change from the round and bland of every other…

kinda like they did with Mazda.. why did they end that relationship? It seemed like it was helping ford. (the first gen Fusion IIRC was a ford-ified mazda 6 and it sold like gang busters.)

a huge chunk of Microsoft’s money comes from services now IIRC. they sell a lot of hosted stuff to businesses.
