At least you didn't have the misfortune of seeing/being told about the Latin American promo that spoiled Heller being alive last Wednesday.

It wasn't just the lack of silent clock. It was the conversation between Jack and Chloe right before Heller walked onto the field, as well as the way the explosion scene was shown, that made me think it was a fake-out. Then when there was no silent clock I was like "WTF?" I figured it was at least designed to be an

I don't know anything about John McClain, but he did string Fayed up with a chain, then said "say hello to your brother." That episode (10 PM - 11 PM, I think) was by far the best on in season 6, IMO. I remember feeling like my show was back after that episode. I don't think season 6 was as bad as some people say but

Chloe would have been in a great position to negotiate a deal for herself if she had gone with Jack to the CIA station, but I don't think that's what she wants. Especially since making a deal would probably mean having to rat out/testify about Adrian and the others and what Open Cell is doing, and she still believes

Especially since they have spent the whole season casting suspicion on Mark, who is a sneaky jerk but probably not a mole for the terrorists. That said, I would not be surprised if he does more shady things in an attempt to clean up the mess he made with the Russians.

I still think the way he killed Fayed in season 6 was better. It was more satisfying in season 6 because it happened in the middle of the action, rather than being a revenge killing after the terrorist was secured.

It does seem a little odd to me though that Heller didn't want to put Jack in the field because he was afraid of causing a crisis with the Russians, but then a few hours later he decided to give him a pardon unsolicited. I am working on a fanfic that is a deleted scene between Heller and Audrey during the 4 PM episode

He's been pardoned for everything he did up until the point he was pardoned. I don't think a president can pardon someone for crimes not yet committed, certainly not in the form of a blank check. I think when Heller said "any charges that may come up with today", he was referring to events that had already happened -

That kind of bothered me a little. There is no evidence that the security guard was not innocent. I guess Jack just didn't have time to explain.

I think it was at the very least designed to be an open question.

"I wouldn't mind if the show spent several episodes on a Jack Bauer vengenace tour." Isn't that exactly what the last few episodes of season 8 were?

They said tonight that the VP was a he. So it can't be Karen Hayes.

When Jack admitted to Audrey that "it's true. I killed those people", does anyone else think he might have been talking about something other than the events of season 8? Heller wasn't president then, and it was Heller's state department that designated him a terrorist. I am thinking that maybe he was referring to
