Why are you turning Wifi off? It improves GPS accuracy, and you're plugged in so you don't need to worry about power.

White isn't the only color that AMOLED display's get wrong. AMOLEDs are known for their blacks and their contrast, not their color-accuracy. Everything is a trade-off.

You might get high resolution, but not high quality. Look at the file sizes... just s few hundred KB, rather than a few MB. Not really a suitable backup solution at all. But you get what you pay for I suppose.

It will grab location every now and then. It will use GPS if you already have GPS turned on, but if you don't have it turned on it will just use your cell location. It's not a battery hog by any means.

It sounds like if you have ICS, either Nova or Apex are probably a better choice than this one, at least for now. They're both much more mature and offer many more features. This launcher should probably only be used if you're on Gingerbread, since Apex and Nova won't work.
