There's no reason not to read all of them ('cause they're all great), but if your funds/time are limited, I'd say 'The Score' is the best of them (certainly the most fun). 'Slayground' is a slight work, and probably the weakest of them.

I never heard that story. Thanks.

He'd said he wasn't done with Parker either. He was just giving it a bit of break because he felt if he released one book a year, people would taking them for granted.

No, the writer's correct. If you exclude Selina's Big Score (written and drawn sans Brubaker), then Cooke's only work on Catwoman were the Detective Comics prequel (maybe 20 pages worth of material) and issues 1-4 of the series proper. Brad Rader took over after him, then Cameron Stewart, then Javier Pulido, then back…

He also wanted the big metal spider to fight Morpheus at the end of the Sandman movie he was going to make.

Yeah, I got caught out by hating on Bashir, not realising that it was all intentional (to be fair, back then you didn't expect a Star Trek character to arc).
The lesson's held me in good stead - I loved Topher in Dollhouse from the get-go.
