We assume the worst because, barring very few exceptions, the overall trend of game developers has been to screw over and nickle and dime their players as much as possible.

I want to play the game with the amazing new graphics power of the current generation. I think thats what the vast majority of people want. Removing all the gameplay elements and replacing them with the current style of hack and slash non turn based non party based gameplay is no longer final fantasy 7 in my eyes.

Episodes mean its going to probably cost $200+ for the whole thing. They’re changing story elements and have completely gutted every single game mechanic from 7. Its essentially going to be FF15 hack and slash combat(FF15 combat system isn’t bad, but losing the entirety of the gameplay of the game we wanted to play…

I dont know anyone who has complained that chapter 13 was too hard...

Am I the only person really struggling to get in to this game? I guess I just really don’t like the island challenge system. There are so many cutscenes and the game feels so on-rails(i just finished first island), and it seems way easier then previous games(at least this early).
