I am in no way condoning the actions of the officer, but after watching the dash cam video of her getting pulled over, it does appear that she runs a stop sign right in the beginning.

He is, but it doesn’t really sound like he wants to. He basically says in the article that hes allowed to, but he doesn’t really do it much and it doesnt seem like he enjoys it when he does. It seems like its another way for him to rationalize/justify whats going on and make it feel more normal to him.
