(Apologies if this double posts, Nibbles has been at the absinthe again.)

Ah, Ernest Hemingway, I drink to thee. I use that line with ball-sport fans all the time.

I didn't actually see Magnetism's comment, but I get the idea that Jesus was justified there. I was just talking about his (Jesus') response to the original post.)

While I love your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter, 2 points. Airbags are mandated by law here in the US, and I swear I read somewhere about a car built "for racing" with power windows because they were lighter. (cable/pulley/motor vs. scissorlift and movement band.)

1- EXTREMELY deformed. Possibly mutant.

Lol'd at first, then thought of Le Mans, 1955. Hope this guy does it in the desert!

I'll be damned. Just tried the touchdown thing with my 2 week old, worked like a charm! Much thanks!

NP, though I'd molest it just a little bit more... Perrin (Subie tuners) once put a turbo on one of these, just for the hell of it, and I fell in love with the idea.

Beat me to it. First time I saw this was on the Icon blog.

Does anyone ACTUALLY suck though? I feel accomplished if I managed to keep it out of the snow all day!

Mais oui! There are also races on Lake Sinissippi, which is far closer, but they're far more strict there. The attitude is closer to SCCA Spec Miata than run what you brung. If you make it out to Lake Winnebago, look for the jackasses in the black mostly-debadged '05 STi with big red "TOW" stickers on the bumpers.

It is! Feels like: 100mph. Speedo says: 80. Actual speed: 40! These races are held in Neenah, Wisconsin, but they're all over the northern states. Definitely check some out, if you can!

Tried these on at Interbike (cycling industry trade show) this year. Very distracting, it's just a tiny screen that's right in the corner of your vision. I wouldn't want to be trying to focus any high speed tasks with that thing turned on. I'm looking forward to something more HUD-like, where it actually projects

@Matt_Hardigree (Will that work to respond to a "too short" comment?")

Now playing

For those interested, here's the blue Subie on youtube.

And finally, what's affectionately known as "the rally car". Shows up to nearly every race, hearing/seeing this thing run gives me shivers...

The previous car: all seasons on the back, snows on the front, a missing headlight, slushbox. Don't worry though, EVERYTHING hangs the ass out on the ice! (Unless you come in too hot, like I did here.)

If you're far enough north, ice rally-x. (Ice racing? Winter rallycross?) I started 2 years ago, pretty sure electroshock therapy wouldn't be enough to stop me now. It's cheap:

Aaaahh, ok, that makes a lot more sense. Two of my favorite things about the PFC: you can choose MAP or MAF, (at least for RB26 apps,) and that hand controller. Don't have to bust out the laptop to change every little thing!

PFC is available for damn near everything, and probably the best option for the majority of cars: Keep all stock ecu functionality, (interior, gauges, hvac, etc,) but full control of tuning parameters. The only thing might top it is a Tactrix cable for Mitsu/Subies. Simplest tuning platform ever, if you're willing to
