There was a brief window about 16-17 years ago when I felt there was some measure of sincerity to iy. My personal feeling now is that it is crass, shallow, and exploitative of active duty, their families, and veterans.

He’s not a bust and I didn’t say he was. He has, though, missed dozens of games, sometimes in the same season (2016-2017). For all his brilliance when healthy, he’s also spent a great deal of his time injured.

You could also look at how often he’s injured and balance that against your point re: game winning goals in cup/league championship matches. But then you’d have a much fuller view and I doubt that’s what you’re going for.
