@YeshuaDavid: Should I even ask where the superheroines are..?

@Naked_Quark: It's true that with gas giants we would be orbiting it, much more than the reverse....
@Emmanuel_Goldstein: "But I'm having trouble understanding how something even 142,000 km across would fill the whole sky from 385,000 km away. "
@AngryFork: It's been done. Yavin. Pandora. Coyote...
@somebodyoranother: Damn, I used to do that during my Christmas vacations, too.
@a.seivewright: "I like to keep this handy...for close encounters."
@Bombos: Not really. The Christians will understandably say; 'If it's really him, he's too powerful for you to confine.'
@Timothy Neill: "Little immediate change, although Christianity and Islam will probably have a mental breakdown and go through a Reformation."
@PistachioWildebeest: Agreed.

@corpore-metal: Likely. I know I don't. I'm simply pleased...
@Trystero: Not to worry, it would be summer in the Antarctic...
@Pijus: Um, no. It conceivably has, but we can't know until it gets here.
@queensowntalia: "As has been pointed out, people would FLIP OUT, and I'm not thrilled to think about the ensuing worldwide chaos. "
@Puns-n-Roses: "Yeah I know saying his name three times doesn't make him explode..."
@Faustroll: Um, the VanAllen belts aren't a 'shield' in and of themselves, they're torus shaped zones in Earth's magnetosphere where electrically charged, energetic particles are trapped:
@EBone: You're thinking of Gamma Ray Bursts. Although it involves a very specific kind of supernova, this won't be that.
