Roll on, eight-wheeler, roll on.
Roll on, eight-wheeler, roll on.
I wonder how much of a challenge this is going to present to the pit crews, adjusting to the new tire sizes. I mean, there’s a certain amount of “muscle memory” (so to speak) that’s been built up with the current design, not to mention infrastructure around just handling, stacking, warming tires, etc.
In the late 70w Dennis owned Project 4, a small F1 team sponsored by Marlboro, as was McLaren. McLaren was in the dumps so Marlboro engineered a takeover by Dennis and Project 4. That’s why the cars are known as MP4s.
Going to be fascinating to see what happens with this. Bruce McLaren may have started the company, but Ron Dennis is McLaren for better or worse. Even though it seems like there’s no way out, I’ve come to the conclusion over the years that it’s an unwise proposition to ever underestimate Ron Dennis as he’s been around…

OF COURSE they’re doing it for publicity. It’s why you protest - to put public attention on an issue.

Webber relenting to Ricciardo to join him in a shoey has to be one of my favorite podium moments ever. Glad he found the top of the podium with Porsche after a frustrating run in F1.

That’s an obscene amount of torque.
So he needs to go and shake the spotters hand? What about the woman who ran to him from the ambulance that he spooned over onto the ground as he ran away? Perhaps a handshake and a little bit of an apology is called for there too...
$699. Says in the article.
260 HP is the realistic power limit before torque steer sends non-professional drivers into the oncoming lane or someone’s living room. That is pretty much the boundary between a ‘hot hatch’ and a performance car with a fifth door.
Full disclosure, I’m a huge fanboy of Ford’s, but I am so excited about Hyundai entering this market with a great hot hatch.
It will, but that likely won't be a problem as far as using the internet is concerned. 802.11n is spec'd for 300 mbps, but this is the real world so let's say you are only getting 40% of that speed, or 120 mbps. Even halved, which would be 60 mbps, your wireless network is still likely faster than your internet…
