While its undeniable that we've let our manned capabilities diminish, explosions do happen. Russia had a Proton-M failure in May (and estimates a 7% failure rate). Orbital is also not the only game in town, and the other players are not using refurbished Soviet engines.

When the soviets designed that rocket, computational fluid mechanics was limited to 2 dimensions. Finite element analysis was still a fetus. Russian manufacturing still struggled to make round things consistently. You may as well claim that a refurbished MIG 17 is as good as a F-15E. You can't polish a turd.

Please post your proof. A lot of us would like to see that.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to argue that 1960's Soviet rocket technology is inherently inferior to 2000's rocket technology. Given the advances in materials, manufacturing, and design technologies since then, I do not see how it could be otherwise.

Yes, because clearly a refurbished 1972 Pinto is no more likely to explode than a 2014 Focus.

Please tell us of these new materials. What percentage is replaced? Is it less than 100%?

Believing gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry 100 fucking percent makes you a bigot.

Poland should just Crimea that tiny part. Surely Russia won't mind.

Maybe if you don't want to discuss politics then you shouldn't comment on posts with political content.

Yeah, I mean, just to forestall comments to this effect, we think that Torii Hunter is wrong on this subject, and that while he has every right to express his opinion, his opinion is garbage.

The origin of this word may be benign, like queer used to mean "unusual"or gay used to mean "festive". The history of the use of those words tells another story entirely, and you know it.

Problem 1: No one uses "Redskins" as a slur.

I sure hope you two thin-skinned "geniuses" didn't actually go to Stanford. Jeeezuz. Nowhere did I make any mention of any Native American, human or mascot, nor a bird. I was talking about grammar, for f*ck's sake, and using the Stanford Cardinal as an example.

Really? How many people do you know refer to anyone by that term? I would hazard a guess that only seriously messed up bigots use that word for anyone other than the Washington players. And the reason it isn't used by non-bigots is rather obvious: it is a slur.

Yeah, and I got ticketed for speeding when the three cars ahead of me were going even faster.

You...don't really get how supply and demand works, do you?

Why would anyone go to an NFL game?
