Auto-dimming side-view mirrors. I honestly have no idea how prevalent this is nowadays since my cars are fairly old, but I had a rental car with this feature and loved it.

Great topic! I’ll jump in with reverse lights that actually help the driver in, um, reversing. Pontiac Grand Am had these as a nice feature.

On the theme of QOTSA, Songs for the Deaf is a pretty great driving album all the way through. Which is appropriate, given that it's a pseudo-concept album that's meant to replicate a drive through the California desert.

Sure. Seems like a lot of their songs abt driving. This one, Be Quiet and Drive, and Minerva would be my ROCK BLOCK WEEKEND combo.
