I think having a smug sense of satisfaction and superiority is why most people watch things like this. Hell, watching Hoarders is like the ultimate confidence booster for me. No matter how bad things may seem, at least I don’t live there, I’ll think.

I’ve reached the age where I see humor in it once again. Not that I’m prank calling people or anything, but I would laugh if I got call from someone asking me if my refrigerator was running or if I had prince albert in a can.
I hope Jason Sudeikis wins an emmy for this; hell, the show itself should win the big one. This is just a great show.
Crank calling is something that seems absurd now with caller id being a thing that’s pretty much standard, but it was so much fun while it lasted.
It’s for people who are too embarrassed to ride a moped in public.

I actually think if I just print out some computer-created art and hung it on my wall it would eliminate the realness problem I have with it. Like, I always view it on a screen, so it never really pops for me.
I can also just turn my ipad 90° and look at it vertically to eliminate slideshows, but I don’t wanna.
