    Yeah, I apparently only responded to part of what was said in a bit of haste this afternoon. The streamed-vs-scheduled is what I'm referring to in regards to the conversation happening in real time.

    I don't want to sound like I'm fully in agreement with Rushkoff's perspective since it's not, in my opinion, a concrete methodology or completed lens just yet.

    You're missing the point. He's not talking about the quality of the conversation, but that the conversation in real-time has become the new tradition for many people and replaced the next day 'water cooler talk'. It's not a profound observation, but that doesn't mean it's unimportant or lacks other implications.

    Rushkoff's inarticulateness is more a symptom of interdisciplinary study than his lack of substance.
