Not forgotten by me!

You forgot to mention Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was supposed to be the disposable villian of the season when introduced but proved so popular he landed up being in 97 episodes of BtVS and a further 24 episodes of Angel. You can't get much more immortal as a character than that.
