I didn’t hate Diamondback as much as other viewers did (I’m a big fan of the actor in some other roles....specifically from Boardwalk Empire) but man....what a step down from Cottonmouth. I loved Cottonmouth and was excited to see him as the big bad. While the shock/surprise of him being removed from the equation was

I’d also throw Michael Keaton’s Vulture into the mix. He was just a regular guy tired of getting screwed over by forces outside his control.

I’m kinda disappointed with what happened with Klaue, I wanted him to continue popping up in the MCU as a bit more than a minor pain in the ass.

And even Klaue deserves some credit. He’s a survivor, a profiteer who’s got no interest in power or ruling, only enriching himself and staying alive. He’s also really funny.

And she was already cast in Blindspot when that episode was filmed.

Agreed. I really, really like how Sif fits in on SHIELD. “The Nine Realms are littered with the bones of the enemies of Asgard who underestimated Sif.”

The official explanation is that Loki banished her soon after replacing Odin, since she would definitely figure it out fast, so SHIELD could just run into her wandering around Earth. Maybe even have her wander in drunk as a nod to how she was supposed to have Valkyrie’s role until Alexander couldn’t get out of

I thought the same thing, re: Sif in Ragnarok.

Babies move faster than that.

Me: Oh hey, it’s Clint Howard!

“I wonder if Lorca found anything useful in this universe?”

That reminds me....is Lorcas quarters just waist deep in tribbles now??

Refinement is the right word. There’s a lot of good stuff here, but also a lot of stuff that’s just really sloppy. Hopefully less behind-the-scenes chaos in season 2 will help with that.

Lorca is mentioned. Georgiou wonders whether Lorca found something useful in this universe, just before they beam down to the Orion Embassy/Enclave.

The hero speech at the end belonged to Saru, not Burnham. Through the whole season, he’s never faltered, never gave up Starfleet ideals, never sacrificed morality for expediency. He’s the character who grew, who started the season jealous that Burnham was being groomed for a command and ended as a character who grew

You forgot to mention bringing it full circle with the Clint Howard cameo.

Black oil sure gets around.

I hope Robbie come back even if it’s just with the human head, not the expensive Ghost Rider skull, to explain to the Team about his deal with the Ghost Rider!

I think the show - ambitious and brave as it has always been - bit off a little more than it can chew with this future/space storyline. What I always loved about the show was that it burns through plot like nobody’s business, but never at the expense of character. The show always shone a spotlight firmly on its family
