I think they’re probably very hesitant to do those types of episodes now after the strong backlash against them in the 1st season. Of course it’s different now, but I’d imagine they’re still wary about it. 

SHIELD is dissolved again? I know in the comic books the organization has come back and closed several times, but this is getting silly.

I know what you mean. As much as I love arcs and heavy continuity, they could really do with sprinkling in some monster/artifact-of-the-week bottle episodes to change up the tone/pacing and let the show breathe.

I’m still waiting to see about Donnie and Vijay. They basically sunk them both (literally) and left the door wide open for future returns, but it’s been a while now. I realize they have to play this arc out but the show dangles a lot of threads that never get snipped off completely. It drives me crazy at times.

Prediction: Evil military lady finds/reactivates one or more of the Quake LMDs (purposefully or inadvertently) and they are responsible for the world breaking... unless stopped by our plucky, time-travelling heroes. There are things I like about Kinja - like editing options and embedding - but the inability to edit after 15 minutes or after someone responds is very annoying. All the typos that just have to stay there forever.
