Would have been hard to have a Mirror Voyager since it would be unlikely Janeway and company would have ended up in the Delta Quadrant (Mirror Tuvok was in the Alpha one by the time Prime Voyager would have left foe example) meaning you’d be missing out on a couple of characters and it probably would get a bit more

The sad thing is the idea of taking Mirror Georgiou and having her go through an arc where she becomes a better person isn’t inherently bad (it could be like an extreme Seven of Nine type deal, only she didn’t have as many options as a Borg) and would fit in with the ideals of Trek. But the writers really did not put

This may have been said at the time but it feels like Mirror Georgiou might have been better off dying at the end of S1 to offer some closure to Michael’s arc in that season. Since then it just seems like Georgiou is here just for the sake of it than because she’s really needed all that much.

I swear the return of Crackers was manifested by all the comments praising him the in the past week or so and beyond. I do like throwing in references to the coma seasons to at least indicate their value beyond their self-isolated-ness.

If the Federation is still around, than the Discovery is an antiquated relic. Nothing the crew can do can contribute or solve any problems. Even if just 100 years in the future, let alone 800.”

I’m presuming that Rutherford will be caught up on everything by the next season and that this was mainly a light gag.

I feel like older Trek definitely had comedic highlights (most notably with The Trouble with Tribbles).  And even if there weren’t that many comedic episode gems you could usually get a decent chuckle from a couple of the characters. I mean most of The Doctor’s bits are pretty good.

Yeah, I’ve been rewatching some Voyager recently and while Paris had some wildcard moments he was never really Mariner extreme.

It wasn’t particularly great but I’ll be fair and admit there were a few decent episodes in there and there were some solid niche references to old Trek stuff. I guess just the biggest issue is that these more adult cartoon vibes don’t really fit in the world of Trek. I mean we’ve certainly had some crazy comedic

It is worth noting though that he himself wasn’t all that upfront about it. Jemma pointed it out because of what happened last time (and since they were in their minds it was gonna be harder to avoid). Tho sadly even in this scenario Daisy’s part in all this is left unaddressed.

The coyness here is mainly cause the focus in the comment was more on Jemma’s reaction and the fact that I’ve had to debate this point enough times that I didn’t feel like elaborating in detail on the details of the situation.

Went from Hayley Atwell to Chloe Bennet, lucky bastard.

The point of the statement was less to say it’s the majority of the character’s screen time but just to point out that saying it was never a thing is not exactly true. At the very least it’s a more prominent element than the other female characters (who may have had a few moments but not as common) and pops up enough

Ward grew up in an abusive household and was taken in by a Nazi. But the show doesn’t act as that’s a justification for his crappy actions. It’s the same with Deke. Him being raised in this dystopia doesn’t justify him making calls like this. Not everyone who lived in that environment did the kind of things he did.

Yeah, it seemed like Simmons’ role in breaking Fitz out and stuff was dismissed extremely easily.

Ultimately, everything you just said about Deke is an explanation and not a justification. Ward had backstory to explain why he went down the path he did but he was still considered in the wrong. It also doesn’t justify the more shady actions Deke took after he left his time.

I mean maybe I’m being a bit coy with my wording and I’m not gonna act like it was an easy situation but the aftermath of the whole thing really just portrays Fitz and Simmons as pretty damn callous. And kind of hypocritical since when later put into a situation where they can prevent further deaths they decide not to

Still feels a little messed up once you throw slavery into the mix.

She’s had a pretty good arc over Guardians 2 through Endgame.

I prefer Daisy and Mack as far as the long-term friendships go.
