It was definitely a nice surprise.
It was definitely a nice surprise.
I’m glad they at least got to be in a scene together. Would have been a real missed opportunity otherwise.
It really is kind of infuriating how they just completely side-stepped that whole thing. There was a lot of potential there and they just flushed it down the toilet.
I mean with Jiaying being an immortal Sierra not actually being related to Daisy it’s all good I guess but it’s just interesting that the same creative team were pretty much behind both relationships. Like I wonder if they thought about any of this.
Coulson seems to be in a bit of a holding position as far as whether he’s gonna live or die but I guess that leaves options I guess.
I mean I could probably name a few others after that but I don’t necessarily want to throw myself under the bus lol. I suppose they at least spread out these moments a bit more.
I had a feeling this was gonna take this kind of turn.
Oh, I had definitely seen Dollhouse, which was partly why I was a bit dismayed with Sousa since it felt like anyone could have played that part and wasn’t using Enver to the fullest. Thankfully S7 managed to really bring the best out of him and the character.
Thank god, we got Sousa in S7. For someone who wasn’t even the biggest fan of him in Agent Carter he was utterly delightful.
Even if he thought he was doing it for good reasons it doesn’t change the fact that he sold someone into slavery and acting as if it’s Daisy’s fault for not listening to him is kinda messed up. He also didn’t seem too dismayed at having to put Daisy through this or being paid for it and didn’t tell any of the other…
“The show doesn’t waste its time sexualizing them.”
I unfortunately feel that the friendship between Daisy and Simmons was severely undermined by Season 5-6 however where Simmons is basically willing to dismiss the extreme violation of Daisy through non-consented surgery via Fitz for the greater good or whatever, calls the grandson that sold Daisy into slavery…
Apparently the serum’s effects weren’t permanent based on some stuff the writers may have said (although honestly whether it was permanent or not is pretty up in the air since it’s hard to tell if things changed much either way, a one-line explanation might have been nice).
When Fitz said they were going back to the OG timeline I’m pretty sure they’re in the one from S6 since that’s where all the stuff in the temple went down but the Snap had apparently not happened.
Simmons seemed on board doing it for Coulson.
I mean it didn’t seem like the guy wanted to be in charge in earlier seasons and then he was just kind of given the job and despite all the bad stuff that’s happened he still wants to continue for some reason.
I feel like since these guys have been villains for the past 2 seasons (and they’ve been a thing since S5 with a generally liked side-character being part of them) they were entitled to at least some kind of wrap-up. Like even a one-off line would have been better than nothing.
There’s certainly a lot of options to go down to try and make some use of some of these characters again (let’s just they actually do it and that the explanation makes some kind of sense).
That’s certainly an option. I would hope we get some kind of clarification/explanation at some point in the future (the whole issue just being ignored just to continue with other MCU properties would be pretty annoying).
Well, the main point of contention would be that in Endgame they didn’t seem to figure that time travel was an option and SHIELD seem to have a pretty effective system working so you’d have to ask why they wouldn’t have thought to try and do something about it with the Avengers or something.
