One of my most cathartic quits was when I was 17. I had been working in a crappy department store for almost 2 years. I had a supervisor that was an old alcoholic, and jerk managers that liked to do all the classic petty things that managers do, so I started to learn the ways of the workplace early. I used to work

Alaskan here.  She’s been attempting with marginal success to ride the legal marijuana train to riches since we legalized it a few years back.  Her unlicensed weed-based nightclub was raided and shut down by the cops fairly recently.

I used to work in a high-powered firm where people did quit abruptly from time to time. There was one quit-story that became legendary around the office though. This person started their new job, and at lunch, said they were going out for a cheese sandwich and never came back. They walked out, just like that. We spoke

Agreed. It’s a tough one. And I, too, have noticed a wave of Black Brits playing African Americans in recent years. Those roles include some important historic figures. I can’t fault any of the performances, though. They’ve been amazing. It does seem to me that a lot of American stars have a hard time disappearing

Weird. I’m white and I’m not feeling like I’m being pushed away. It’s all about trying to overcome white fragility, and that takes work. Seriously, there are still times I want to say “Not all white people!” but if you do the work and the self-refection, those times get fewer and further between.

Why don’t you grow some balls and just say “nigger”?

yeah any ‘wine’ produced here is to be avoided, but our breweries and distilleries certainly know what theyre doing!

As an ICU nurse we are always struggling to get our elderly patients to drink liquids and dementia patients are the hardest to keep hydrated. I can see how a flavorful soft jelly balloon of liquid would work, as most are good at eating finger foods and picking up food items from their tray, and I would be happy to

This is a nice comment, especially amid the crop of cynical and dismissive comments about how elderly people should just go ahead and die already. We have no idea what the value of life may be to the people who have dementia, either to them, or their families. Let’s err on the side of keeping them hydrated and

Kudos to this young man. My dad passed last year from dementia and Parkinson’s. The only way we could get him to down liquids was to feed him homemade vodka lemonade popsicles.

Maybe there were no hand packed artisinal ice cream shops along the way where the milk comes from free range cows who have their udders lovingly massaged to improve the creamy texture and the caramel is made from 100% unprocessed, cane sugar that is unrefined and certified organic. Maybe.

dude, just...don’t.

She’ll be back to beating the Trump drum when she returns to The View.

While I can’t say for sure I am pretty confident in saying that their problem is not race. Rather, the issue that the A Book’s Christian Academy has is conforming to gender conventions. “Boys” don’t sport “long hair.” That’s for “girls.”

What happened to turn the other cheek Pasta?😲

She is (was?) a wonderful historian and I am so glad to see that she has gone on to do something that fills her with passion. I remember when I heard she was retiring. I was surprised given how “young” she was. Now I see she wasn’t so much as retiring as carving out a new and exciting direction for her life. A true

She says very clearly that this is not about losing weight.

It’s not supposed to be a calorie counting, weight loss as the ultimate goal, “diet”, though.

Certain folks get real confused when black families come with differing skin tones.

You seem to have some kind of personal issue with this woman.
