I think the emphasis on huge masses of single unit types is what killed starcraft. I see a problem with silhouettes - game designers have to take speed of identifying a particular character/ability into account when designing skins (look at blizzard - alt skins for overwatch and heroes seldom if ever change the character silhouette)

Most red draw comes with a cost - draw then discard, or vice versa. Green gets draw when you do something with creatures, black makes you sack or pay life. Blue just gets to draw for cheap, and possibly scry to boot (Opt, i’m looking at you)
