That’s a good point. I’ve noticed that a lot of our breakage seems to be a result of twisting. I think that people plug the phone in to charge, pick it up to use it while it’s charging, and set it back down rotated. Repeat that often enough and you get twisting damage.

The cords on the cheap ones I would buy from Monoprice wouldn’t break. Instead, the plugs themselves started fitting loosely in my phone’s port and the connection would become intermittent. I’ve been trying out Amazon Basics cables as replacements, hoping they last longer.
