The recent BBC adapation (with Aidan Turner) was straight-up harrowing—as grim a psychological thriller as I’ve seen in a while.

Hickory Dickery Death is really good as well. The mystery is terrific (nope, didn’t see that coming.) And it’s set in a late 50s/early 60s youth hostel with a young multicultural group of characters—a real change of pace for Christie. Its treatment of the black characters is unfortunately dicey, but I get past that…

Agreed. Though it did have Jessica Chastain as Miss Debenham.
