Trolling with graphs is still trolling

@mnerd: Meh, I took

Revenue != profit

The headline illustration affected me in a profound way

@AkibaLime: That's pretty much my thinking.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what the hell is the point of being able to download all of your info in one zip file?

Some fine reporting right here... throw in some numbers you heard once from someone (7" per hour, wtf?), then throw some sources that appear like they might be relevant, then add a scary headline, and you're done!

@Tj Fadness: I'm fairly certain that literally everyone who has played Half-Life knows this.

Even more proof that the movie industry is totally out of touch. I would have expected to read this headline on The Onion, not on a reputable, serious news-reporting site like Gizmodo.

I'm not sure why, and I'm not trying to start anything (this is more of an observation than anything), but articles like this (and their comments) tend to annoy the shit out of me. I even understand the appreciation for fine things (coffee). I think it's the tone or something.

You mean people can read my PUBLIC information!!??

How I read those quotes:

@tasteskindasalty: Hey, I'm not pushing for anything drastic like going outside, I'm just saying people don't need further intrusion of their personal lives via the "social web".

I'm pretty sure I am sick of the social networking craze. I don't care what my friends watched on Youtube, and I'm fairly certain none of them care what I watch. This goes for every online service I can think of.

This puppy (in it's American, G2 form) is going to (finally) be my first foray into the smartphone universe. I'm liking my decision more and more with the new impressions.

Uncomfortable, impersonal, impractical, etc. etc.

Stories like this tend to annoy me. Especially the quotes. Damn kids.

@nonimal: Dieter is pleased with your reference
