I think the ‘clone’ comment from Mick may be sort of an indicator about how much of himself he has invested in his writing.  Mick, even with his villain roots, has not typically been the type of guy to intentionally say things he knows will be hurtful to the person.  The ‘clone’ comment came write after Ava

Blimey

I want to know how that cereal company is still in business if thats what they put on the box. Last box of cereal I had just had a maze on the back...also it had cartoon cavemen cause im an adult.

I really loved Sara going to bat for Mick, her “family.”

So who in the writers room decided a box of cereal was the best place to kick off expositional trivia on serial killers leading to the fugitive of the week? And who else decided in that *very same scene* to have Ray show off his brand new (non-mission-related) moustache that Gideon helped him grow? Or that later on we

What’s her stance on photoshopping her head onto Stone Cold Steve Austin’s body, or vice versa?

Although I really, really liked this episode, it seems to have some of the same wonky writing problems as the rest of the season. Each act of this episode was basically a self-contained story in itself:

While I'm disappointed it took the entire season to define most of these characters (Yaz is still woefully underdeveloped) I agree this episode fully felt like Doctor Who. It was far from perfect but it was weird, bold, thrilling and moving. I still can barely tolerate Chibnall as a writer/showrunner, but the last few

I liked this one, though I wouldn’t remotely consider it the season’s best (that would be “The Tsuranga Conundrum”). But the ending didn’t work for me, and not because of the frog. I can believe that the Doctor would sacrifice herself for her friends. And I can believe that she would feel genuine compassion for the

I agree about the anti-zone being a problem because it took a lot of the running time. At first, it seemed a super interesting idea, but then, when the mirror universe was revealed, the anti-zone became just an inconvenience. Anyway, I would like to see more of the antizone next season. And it would be great if we

This episode was just incoherent. Like, it’s about a sentient anti-matter universe and it wants friends but the normal universe made a cave with a jerk in it and stuck it in between and then the Doctor became friends with a frog. Nothing about it worked on any level.

This episode was okay, but I think the big weakness is what you pointed out about there being way too much for one episode here. The Anti-Zone wound up being just filler when it could have been so much more. The Solitrac plane could have also had a lot more development. I’m also not sure how to read the fact that Ryan

I’ve been thinking for a while now about why I simply haven’t taken to Jodie Whittaker as the doctor, aside from that hideous accent : she can’t do comedy. There were some lines which would have been funny had they come from someone else  but with her it just sounds like she’s reading from a page. Kind of like

Now playing

I’m surprised the PC Babies didn’t take offense to the cultural appropriation of the Buddha.

I predict we’ll see a settle vs battle conflict again, symbolised by the regal Rollo and the savage Ivar. The future of the Northmen vs the past. The turning point in real life was when Alfred’s thegns became strong enough to fight off the Vikings without his help (which is how the real Ubbe snuffed it), so it

Who takes the time to comment on a recap of a show they claim not to watch?

Sounds like somebody with a BS Xanax prescription got hit a little too close to home. Do what the rest of us do, shut the fuck up and get over it.

Chris Klein....Not exactly known for being a great actor. I thought he did an amazing job with the character until the very last scene where he got all angry and said they would die. That was super hokey, but otherwise he was surprisingly good.

This season feels more assured and less scattered than the last one so far, which bodes well. I recently rewatched bits and parts of Season 1, and it forgot how magical it was. It had a story to tell, and it told it brilliantly. Season 2 also had some highlights.

This show simultaneously moves at a million miles an hour and it never just stops to catch it’s breath. Just so many plot things happening in this episode and no time to stop and reflect on any of them. Also I like that the whole Gavin firing plot was resolved by Macy going to her boss and giving some speech about how
