The first episode that really felt like a Dr Who episode. It still had flaws, and it isn’t as good as any of season 1 of Capaldi, where the biggest complaint was the quality of writing, but it had some of the magic that made Dr Who.
That is fine.
Seems pretty efficient, the body will be ready for shipping.
I think it was neither side was really right. They either had to overwork and push to compete with machines, or accept they were better and not work.
Booming at first, viewers have steadily dropped by about a third of the first episodes numbers and will probably be back to normal after the novelty has worn off. Even then they weren’t that much more than other seasons.
This episode felt a lot more like Dr Who than previous episodes. It unfortunately wasn’t a great episode and the discovery that the vilain isn’t always who you think is a long running cliche in and out of Dr Who. So it doesn’t win point for originality. But the plot and pacing at least felt like Dr Who.
I didn’t realize it before, Myrtle is a rip off of the grandmother from Charmed. She was a 60's burnout that aided the sisters from beyond the grave. She wanted to keep men out of the bloodline and was very cold to her grandson at first. Citing that Halliwell’s always had girls.
No, I was thinking of the crazy hippie. Nan I keep forgetting about.
Yes, just a little more astutely.
Smoking’s not cool man, your obviously leftover from last year.
“You only postponed it. Judgment Day is inevitable.”
I wouldn’t bet on it. The Coven shows little interest in the outside world and they probably forgot about it. But without the evil presence in the house, I think a lot of the characters would eventually start to live happier after-lives when they aren’t feeling the itch to tear into one another for no reason.
I have to hand it to them, they pulled off a good ending. I was worried it was going to be something they just go back in time and fix. Once again a magical plot hole that they use at the last minute.
Season 1 is the best, Season 2 is ok but a little slow. Seasons 3-5 are a bit of a mess and badly written, 3 in particular. It gets more focused with the last three seasons.
The rumors I heard is that it was originally supposed to be closer to the comic. But the producers didn’t think it was punchy enough during production and demanded changes. It wouldn’t be the first time meddling in the middle of the process missed the point entirely and sunk the ship, it probably won’t be the last.
That’s what the show powers was based off of. An insurance group that handles superhero claims. I don’t know how good it originally was but they changed it for the show which was an unfortunate mis-fire.
I think Ralph Wrapped around him somehow. Like he wrapped him up, then inflated. Not sure of the exact details. I think they just liked the image and assumed no one would think too much about it.
The fact that the cig made it to his hand on a regular basis on a TV show of this type is a small miracle, lighting it is asking for too much for one show. Even in the movie he quits smoking at the end and that was a movie with an adult rating. They’re implying it, good enough for me. He already looks like he smells…
It’s based off a DC comic book, anything is possible if the numbers are right and they have a creative enough writer.
