Finally a decent episode.  Not a great episode, but it felt like Dr Who.  Still doesn’t feel like the Dr is figured herself out and still feels like they are playing too carefully.  But maybe this  is the episode where they turn it all around.

The lead actresses had charisma, were believable as sisters, and the show was fun. If the Phoebe romance was ripped off, and let’s be honest it wasn’t original in Angel, they actually went somewhere with it and the story was better in the long run. In Buffy it just ended in season 4 I believe.

Season 5 is the worst season since the first half of season 1. They tried to shoehorn in something to make a statement about the #metoo movement. It didn’t work because they had to take him back five steps and make him more of an asshole than he ever was.

She may have other abilities.  They may even give her powers back, but Constantine made it clear he didn’t trust her.  He may be telling the truth, or he has an ulterior motive.

Ava is boring and lacks charisma, I wouldn’t complain about anyone taking over or augmenting her story-lines.  Nate is as good as anyone else.

He doesn’t trust it and I doubt the rest of them do either despite not believing it to be evil. Keeping it on a leash until they figure out the situation isn’t going too far and it’s an excuse to have the actress return.

Her relationship with the agent is pretty tepid, so I think they are using it to ground her a bit and get her to step into the leader role instead of being the first one in combat.

The “cute” monster of the week is what ruined it for a lot of people.  Obviously trying to be cute and mis-understood.

Probably not, there is pressure to not show people smoking (tv especially) and the producers more than likely don’t want to deal with the headache. Look at the movie, they couldn’t keep him smoking all the way through and he was chewing gum by the end.
