I once wore my power heels because a guy on his profile listed himself as being tall. We met as I was sitting. When we both stood up at the end of the date, there was no way he was even 5’4”. Her music is plenty alive, you just have to listen. I mean, the 80’s had plenty of sad dance music-The Cure, Depeche mode, etc.... And I don’t know if she actually is “tortured”, but then again, I doubt David Bowie has ever actually been to mars. Its music, and sometimes songs tell different stories.

I give artists the benefit of a doubt. I tried to like Kanye, but I can't stand his music, and I'm going to put that on me because I'm not a fan of Hip-hop, and everyone else seems to love him. I feel like everytime he wins an award I'm missing something.

I listened to the Paradise album, fully prepared to hate her, because I heard she was terrible. But no, I love that album, and I love her.
