It is, but we don’t have to like it. I just think people on the left need to be careful what they wish for when it comes to PR. I’d much rather a Tory majority than a Tory-UKIP coalition.

When or if the Queen, or her descendants, do try to take an active role in government, then you might have a point.

Hell yeah they did. They had the best scientists and the best spy networks when we switched from World World to Cold War. No country is above taking the plunders of war. Wernher von Braun, inventor of the V2 rocket, basically put us on the moon.

How about say no to historical ignorance? Or is yours hysterical ignorance? I can never tell...

What else do you think she might have done as a little girl? Sabotaged the RAF? Gone to Germany to work as a concentration camp guard?

There was no roar. No detonation. No explosion of news beside people turning it into a meme. This happened before WWII. The Windsor relations with Europe as a whole are well known! The Centenary celebrations even featured a BBC documentary series about her (father’s?) cousins, the Kaiser and, oh whatshisname, the

I’m Jewish, was raised in a home with survivors, and still thinks that Europe suffers from the legacy of Nazism and that it should not be forgotten, but this is a nonstory. She’s imitating a political figure at a time before he was infamous, and mocking him at that. Look at that ridiculous face and goose-stepping

The Queen doesn’t actually have a hand in running the governments in the UK or the Commonwealth. You know that, right?

Ricky Gervais had the best response to this non story:

Uh, no. Sorry to break the news to you “journalists,” but that “dull roar” all weekend around these parts was about the scummy practices of the Gawker Media Editorial Team.

Except that completely ignores all the other factors unique to Scotland post referendum and the fact that Scotland is more left-wing than the majority of England.

They don’t exist as large parties in our country because the majority of the electorate don’t agree with them. They exist, there is TUSC, the SWP, the British Communists etc. They are also badly organised.

It’s important to remember that there are many different Labour members with different feelings on everyone.

Even the centrist members of the Labour party are not “avowedly right-wing” in the scale of things. Not with Boris selling up chunks of London to the highest bidder. That is an overstatement and I am no fan of Kendall (though I rate her higher now). That is why right-wingers don’t vote for them. In fact, seeing Jeremy

What’s even more depressing is for the first time since the 80s, people seem to be ready for a proper left wing party. Even the Scottish National Party are starting to see an opportunity south of the border. Scottish Labour took Scotland for granted for too long and it’s weakened Labour as a whole.

It’s like our old money: 12 pennies in a shilling, 20 shillings in a pound. And going back even further, a guinea was 21 shillings. It made it harder for foreigners to tell when we were swindling them. At school, we had to do our multiplication tables up to 12.

I don’t like Kendall but this doesn’t backfire over Osbourne. No-one asked Osbourne what his weight was. A journalist brought up his sudden and dramatic weight loss that happened during his time in office. He then gave a lengthy answer. Those two questions are significantly different. It’s sexism.

Well if she’s not a good politician, by all means judge her on that. But I’m still comfortable calling daily mail the villain of this particular story.

She’s regarded pretty well by a lot of the members I know, what you mean is she is not regarded well by the left of the party. To call her right wing is an insult really, she’s a little right of the centre of the party on certain issues but is still a democratic socialist.
