I don't see a lot of movies these days but I used to see more, and let me just say that Napoleon Dynamite is one of the funnier ones I've seen in the past 15 years. Also possibly the movie I laughed the most at since 2000 was The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra.
Oh Brother is hilarious and I laugh a lot whenever I watch it.
I actually think show Cersei is way less terrible than book Cersei. Book Cersei is a monster with no conscience. Show Cersei just seems kind of cranky.
I'm going all-in on one of the Freys.

You're all wrong. Rickon Stark will return from his exile somewhere in the North and smite everybody and take the Iron Throne and that's who the protagonist is.
I think that is actually a blurb on the book's cover. Seriously. I think it actually is.
Still one of my all-time favorite records. I would actually argue that his earnestness is tempered by just enough ironic detachment to achieve the perfect balance. I think he got a little too earnest and cute on the next two records and he kind of lost me. In fact, the most earnest track on here, Emily Kane, is…

It's not that you can never use a cliche, it's just that when all you have is a collection of cliches stacked on top of each other, with nothing interesting or clever to say about anything, it just grates on me. By 2015 (or 1981) there aren't many brand-new things to say in a song, but you can at least give a fresh…
Yes.
I can't believe people aren't jumping on the shitty lyrics of this song. Small-town girl, smoky room, wine and cheap perfume, midnight train going anywhere, streetlights, "hold onto that feeling" — did they just randomly choose phrases from the Big Book O' Rock-N-Roll cliches when they wrote this? Every single line is…
Except I don't think anybody thinks they're great. They're just inexplicably popular despite sucking so bad
You have perfectly captured how I feel about St. Vincent. Everything is there. I should like her. I like a few of her songs OK. But I've never once found myself thinking, "Boy, I sure would like to listen to a St. Vincent song right now!" They just don't stick.
