Go to a Toyota dealer and try and find a RAV4 prime. They are 6 months out. Its not that people don’t want them, its that they aren’t building enough of them.

I’m going through basically a real world test of this right now. My Mazda CX-5 has reasonably new Fallen Pro v5 CUVs, while my partners Ford Escape has fairly new CrossClimates. Both are all wheel drive.

At this point, the line between a mid-size and a full-size has almost vanished, maybe a little more narrow and a shorter wheelbase, but otherwise, there’s no real benefit. The cost is nearly the same, weight, fuel economy, height, capability, etc.

considering that the Blue Oval will sell one of these things to any geek off the street with no special license or qualifications required.

The headline on the Vice article is flat wrong, and I’m pretty disappointed. The truth is nuanced and less exciting, but very, very important.

Now playing

Okay, I realize you mean well, but this post is significantly unhelpful in terms of providing useful information. It’s also flat-out wrong in some respects. Did you even trade emails with any helmet standards guys before posting this? I’ll try to address things in an orderly fashion.

OK Boomer!

In my experience working in manufacturing this was definitely the opposite. We constantly had to rework stuff that was being sent to us from Mexico because the people were poorly trained and treated.

Google isn’t evil. MS was evil in the 90's. Google isn’t evil like MS was evil.

Toyota and BMW are basically the only Android Auto holdouts at this point. It’s stupid and no way in hell would I buy a brand new car in 2019 without Android Auto.

I’m an engineer with friends in multiple industries and companies. Between our joint experiences, I can attest there is a cultural etc. difference with workers in Mexico. There are issues adhering to production and quality processes that most definitely makes a difference in the finished product.

lack of towing is why I purchased a brand new escape (3,500 lbs) vs a CX-5. I love Mazda, but 2,000 lbs didn’t cut it for me. I sold off my Dodge ram 4.4 “buba” truck and got my wife the Escape - we use a small 5x10 trailer for those 3 or 4 times a year when I want to pick up something large or if I have to tow my

Look at all his majesty. Those peasants in their thatched roof cottages don’t stand a chance.

I’m a owner of a 3 month model 3 and wished sometimes people would spend a little bit more time learning about the car before bashing on it. Windshield wipers are controllable with the left stalk, pushing the button on the left stalk once will wipe your windshield once (it has auto setting), pushing it a few more

Single wipe (and wash/wipe) is available on a stalk.

Volkswagen is bad enough at chains that you want a belt with their interference engines.

I think comparing this to the #metoo movement is pretty offensive to the movement that is based around sexual harassment. The grid girls were not forced to do this and they are also being paid to be there as well.

A few years ago, with kiddo #2 on the way, we were looking to replace my wife’s Mazda 3 with something big enough that all four of us could fit in. Unsolicited, my wife’s friend starts telling us we should buy a Dodge Journey. I did my best to not let me face give away the judgement I was judging, and managed to
