I don’t understand the point of the original tweet. You want to compare them because you think they’re an example of colorism and the proof is in their career trajectories. But then you go back and say that people are acting like it’s a breakout role for Keke.

The word incomparable can be defined as being completely different from someone else. She seems to be saying that she has her own successes that she is very proud of and comparing her to Zendaya is like comparing apples and oranges. They aren’t the same and not trying to be the same.

Sure. Except I had no idea who Zendaya was until Euphoria hit.

And there was that time Dewey Crowe forgot to set the parking brake on the props van...

Sana’s answer about how Aisha “brought shame to the family” is perfect. As an immigrant myself, I understood it within the show immediately. She didn’t really do anything bad, everyone just talked sh!t about her because she had a mystery.

It’s almost like they don’t care about women’s sports at all! Funny, that!

Lia Thomas is 6'1" and no 5'4" swimmer is going to win first place at the most competitive levels of women’s swimming.

Women are being labeled transphobic for wanting to be called women?  Where is that happening?

I can verify that I, a cis man, have had discussions about “people with penises” because that discussion can and does include both men and women!

I’m still concerned and undecided about 6'5", 200lb former males who become female and take over women’s sports so that no 5'4" woman can ever win first place again. When a male transitions to female, that person does not lose their upper body strength.

It’s “important not to eliminate the word ‘women’” by insisting on calling trans men “women”?

The New York Times Op Ed actually made some really fantastic points

Which are compelling? Because this seems to be the crux of the op-ed:

Why does it have to be “women and birthing people”?  Why can’t it just be “people capable of birth” or “people who menstruate.”  Probably “women” shouldn’t be defined by whether you can give birth, or menstruate.

But cis women who are infertile are the first to point out that not ALL women can give birth, so I don't think you can really lay this on trans people.

It’s very weird to see Jezebel rewrite it’s attitude to the 2016 elections. Most of the writers have left now, but this site was decidedly anti Hillary Clinton.

“It’s a complicated question. I had a good working relationship with him, but it seems a lot of people didn’t. It’s not in the cards now so probably best to move one.”

The part about Fisher you forgot to mention is that Warner’s did an in-house investigation and “addressed it.” And about ten seconds later Whedon was fired from his own show on HBO, The Nevers. Yeah there was definitely something to Ray Fisher’s allegations.

The tricky thing is that, as far as we know, the issue was the general atmosphere of favoritism, backbiting, and disrespect, rather than any big instances of bright-line harassment or criminality. If Joss was kind of manipulative shit to you on a low but persistent level, you can either just say “He was always kind of

his “comedy” is there to hurt at this point. The link actually is causal. After watching Disclosure which then got me into listening to a lot of the trans educators in the film, the “jokes” in media actually are some of the most causal links to trans hate. And I think essentially it’s non-trans people stepping in and
