Because sometimes people wear dark clothing and walk along roads with no shoulder against a background of foliage and make me do a brake test when they suddenly turn to look and I actually see their face as that is the only thing that contrasts with the background.  Not kidding, I used to have this happen at least

So what if I did what one of my friends has done and started to amass gold and silver as a retirement fund?

Is souped-up still used?  How about tricked-out?

I would love to see this anywhere it can be done safely, but I give it something south of 1% chance of ever getting to a floor vote in California.

I’m not a NASCAR fan but yes, yes you are

I would agree, but the Navy doesn’t

You are correct, but they also carry various fuels for smaller craft and diesel generators and such.

Yep, we built 18 Ohio-class subs, then signed a treaty limiting us to only 14 SSBN’s. We took the other 4 (Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia, yes they are known as the OMFG class) and converted the missile tubes to carry 154 Tomahawks.  Thats another reason for the OMFG nickname.

The military investigated that concept a few years back (sometime after Desert Storm but before 9/11) and they concluded that it could be done efficiently, but it was putting too many eggs in one basket for something that people would be shooting at.

You think that’s impressive, as a stunt, one was built in ten days, then another shipyard beat that by building one - keel to launch - in less than five days. For the whole blame ship.

On ovals no less

I’ve got a couple, lets see...

I drove a long Aerostar through most of college and a couple of years after. Looking back, I like to say that it had the soul of a dragster because it sure didn’t like to go around corners.

Serious question here, not trying to start a fight. If the current climate period is almost 12,000 years old and we have only had thermometers since 1638, then how do we know the climate is actually changing? We’ve only been measuring temperature for 380 years.

To clarify, one French technician was killed in the attack. It was conducted on a Sunday since it was assumed that the western technicians and staff would be at home.

I guess this is Global Warming?

The Navy had one the size of a large trash can on the NR-1 research sub.  They could daisy chain a few of them together in a conex and just put some sockets on the outside.

Might want to check out the metal fatigue, but sure!  The Cornfield Bomber was even optionally manned!

Did that recently after getting my tie rod ends and ball joints replaced.  Next?

Small caveat, it is hard to shoot down incoming warheads with no explosive (the interceptors have no explosive warhead, just lots of kinetic energy).  Put a small nuke on the interceptor and suddenly everything becomes much easier.
