at the risk of repetition, I would hope they develop (or borrow) a tiered matchmaking system much like World of Tanks.

Ships are heavy but durable, and in my time playing team deathmatch (one of a few planned multiplayer modes), I found that smart positioning and teamwork were absolute musts. Some ships, like a long-range class that's essentially a giant flying sniper rifle, were better suited to filling out a team's back line while…
You're drinking really shitty coconut water, invariably out of a carton with a ridiculous plastic spout-thingy...ew.
VOTE: Best Computer Monitor
Starship Troopers gets left out and The Crow made it? I liked The Crow, but it is not fun - great action, and revenge ass-kickings are always great, but it's extra-somber knowing Brandon Lee didn't make it out alive, for real. Sad-face.
Sure, being arcade-y is what distinguishes CoD from other shooters - I was ok with it up until this iteration (i skipped MW3), and it's just something I cannot fully put my finger on, but it - whatever it is - equals more aggravation than anything else, and for the first time in a really long time, I regret the…
Multi only. The story stopped for me at "shoot the hinges!"
This.
PhysX is currently disabled in the game, forcing a lot of the heavy lifting over to the processer(s) and stretching the GPU thin.
Installed it over the holiday weekend, and TL;DR summary: Holy shit, this is epic. If you're on the US West - Helios server and play TR, add "Deviina" to friends and come platoon it up with us.
I believe they pulled it to (un)gracefully end the Double XP weekend and to force traffic into the other game modes, which actually worked. I've had to sit for 5 minutes waiting for a Ground War match to get enough players up until the removal of NT2025 - last night? Solid games in every single mode I checked.
Carl quietly observing life in the prison since last week's episode has been unsettling and awesome at the same time. It's like he's measuring his options - who is expendable, who is necessary to keep his group (yes..his) group moving forward.
Love or hate, the map has (or..had, i guess..) a purpose for me. Simple, short map that allowed me to test new weapons and loadouts really quickly, regardless of the mode.
I agree with your points, all of which have existed since the Quake days. The flip-side, for those that have the patience to do it, is to provide an environment that weeds out the entitled 12 yr olds and professional d-bags, and fosters a solid community. Play online long enough, you will eventually find a server that…
As long as there's a gun holster leg compartment, we're ok...
[spoiler? maybe...i dunno]
Another area where Activison completely loses the quality fanbase behind their games: mod and map support. The standard maps are ok for what they are, but a large portion of fan longevity in games like Half-life\CS\TF2, Unreal and such was the ability to create and share.
Yep, that one and Express both seemed so oddly over-lit that it made the player models all look like grey toy soldiers.
If I cannot rent a host from Gameservers, set up the map rotation and hardcore rules that I want, and build a community of friends & players that enjoy the game the way I do..then no, there are no dedicated servers.
I tend towards Domination for one simple reason: it lessens the spawn point 'randomness', even if just a little. If my team has A, I generally know where I am re-spawning and where Opfor is coming from.
