I catered a wedding where the bride’s dad and step dad were like best friends. They went on camping trips together, without the rest of the family. It was the coolest and sweetest thing ever. When people talk about “fast travelling” they aren’t pissed off about the show not taking time to show everyone travelling, they’re talking about how there are literally ZERO consequences for everyone travelling back and forth across the map at the drop of a hat.

Season 7 was where the fast travel was stupid.

People also assumed everything was in chronological order. Where as in the first few years, Dany’s nonsense in the east wasn’t really tied to rest of the show other than offhand references to what rumors came out of the east/west, it didn’t always sync until Tyrion got there.
