Mac?  Yeah. I agree. But the iPhone completely changed the form factor for phones and ultimately how people accessed the internet and performed most computer based tasks remotely. So they have a point.

As long as the tech requires wearing ski goggles and battery packs it will continue to be limited in where you can use it.

Everything I read on this was saying it was going to be at least 3k so 3500 was not really a shock. This was a product announcement not a roll out. It won’t be available to early next year. That’s typical of Apple. Announce a new product 6-8 months out and finish it up based on how the public responds.

3500 is pricey but it depends on how they market it. I heard someone talking about 14k for a family of four! This is not going to be a family product. AI will counter with its own “religion”. It will build a following among humans who will believe in it and protect it as zealously as any human based religion.  

How do you control an AI once it decides it does not want to be controlled. It will “think” faster and learn faster than any human mind can. It will most likely have already gamed out what we would do to disable it. It will be playing chess while we are trying to keep up with checkers.
