They didn’t kill off Henry Blake because they just felt like it. Stevenson left the show at the height of its popularity to get more money headlining a sitcom for NBC. One of several failed sitcoms it turns out. He gave them the opportunity and reason to kill off Henry Blake. 

Its a classic failure of sitcoms. They take the bits that the audience reacts to and overwrites it to absurdity. Just look at George Costanza in the first year of Seinfeld compared to the last. Radar was particularly frustrating. His character left the show bitter and disillusioned. He clearly ended up back in Iowa …

Nah. I just think they are a bunch of 20-somethings who have not watched a television show produced prior to the late 90's.  Do you really think they watched 11 years of MASH episodes to determine what the best show for each character was? 

Why do I get the feeling his last film is going to a semi-autobiographical scorched earth hit piece on everyone who has crapped on his now tarnished legacy.  

There are some actions, proven or not, that do not allow compartmentalization of a man from his work. It doesn’t help when some of that work mirrored real life; an older man with an underage girl (Manhattan).  

All i need to know is when it will be available to stream. Not paying money to see this. Still deciding if its worth 2 hours of my time.

I got this bundle a year ago through Apple +. I found other than the content made specifically for Showtime, like Yellowjackets, I never really watched it.
