I find my merino wool (unlined, no back, not tight in toe box) house shoes comfortable 2/3 of the year. We have seasons here, and a fairly cold winter.
I find them more comfortable than barefoot, in the house.

You’ve never had good house shoes.
I’m 10 years in on a (different brand) pair of $60 wool slippers. Worn indoors year round, and to run trash out, get the mail, etc.
Totally worth it.

I managed to get the Sony MDRZX770BN headphones last xmas for $75, through a Best Buy advertising screw up.
They are very good, but not nearly as good at noise cancelling as a 10 year old Sony earbud system I have (it’s only problem is earbud comfort, which can’t be fixed by different buds, because of the geometry of

What am I missing here?

How about the giant headrests that completely block the view out of the rear window of Honda Odysseys?
Bonus - no one, be they child or adult, can sit in the chairs without the headrest fully up.

Battery powered kids cars are for weenies. (and 1 is far too young).

Get him a Kettler pedal car of some form:

Former rugby player, and I couldn’t agree more.
Played as an adult for 25 years, with only minor injuries, until I tore my ACL and meniscus recently.

For anyone who likes the physicality of football, but not the injuries (or stops in action, chronic play reviews, time-outs, etc.), please give rugby a look.

Loss of interior space.
Extra maintenance costs.
Limited life battery.
Battery disposal concerns.
Screwing over every tax payer for the subsidy.
Plug-in electricity sources generally not clean.

If people really wanted green appliances, they should pay the full cost themselves.

Now, do the same offset crash test using a modern full-sized SUV vs. the modern Sentra.
Basically the same result.
The vast differences in mass and ride height of cars in the U.S. mean that any small car involved in a head-on/offset collision with a full-sized SUV, is basically unsurvivable.
Similar results when hit from

You think 7th graders are 10-years old?
And that these words are too complicated for either a 10 year old or 7th grader?
And that the leader of the free world should have pandered to such a whelp, rather than the spot on delivery he gave?

I’m a holiday decorator, but am considering something like this for this year.

My neighbor lost his leg (diabetes) to a Christmas light fall a couple of years ago.
Putting lights on/taking off in places that get snow/ice/frost is just dumb. Ladder work as well.

Not to mention the challenges of trying to land a manned and cargo-stuffed vehicle on Mars.
We’ve still yet to land anything of any size on Mars, in a way that humans could tolerate.

Looks like a Ford Probe, even down to the color.

Where do you see this?

Does the same apply to the Kindle Fire tablets?

Got one similar to this from a Coach outlet for $25 ~ 17 years ago.
Still going strong; the metal clip is starting to wear through the leather, but it’s got a good many years left in it.
Since I do almost entirely digital transactions now, I’d go for a version without the clip, if/when I replace it.

I can (slightly) see the appeal.
The amount of upfront cost and work to get there isn’t worth the negligible time savings* each time I’d set up a ‘scene’.

I also wouldn’t pay $60 for a digital album.

Not saying they’re comparable. Just don’t understand the market.

I think people with smart lamps or Phillips Hue things are generally spending money on a gee-whiz factor that will look as dated and silly as that Radio Shack remote in a couple of years.

I understand the difference, just not the scenario where I’d a) want a wifi connected lamp, b) be willing to pay $60 for it or c) why I’d add another switch to my wall, if i could control with my phone.
If you have a dedicated lamp you want to turn on with a light switch, spend $3 and wire it that way.

Even my Radio
