The thing is that those railways and old, tight tunnels have been there for a very long time, their dimensions are well known. RENFE (operator) and ADIF (infrastructures) messed up and sent the engineering firm the wrong data.

No. Actually RENFE (railway operator) and ADIF (railway infrastructure) provided the dimensions of the trains to be built. The engineers went through the data and saw that something was wrong (their company has been around for +100 years and know their stuff).
I’ll go with Ferrari Tipo 043, which was the most powerful V12 in F1 history, and last V12 to be in use.
You’re correct, ze germans wouldn’t allow it.
It’s not the building cladding, it’s a slab that came off the elevator shaft cover (concrete box covering the shaft) when it tipped over.
Not exactly. The construction isn’t at fault here (for once). The slab was on top of the lift shaft cover. Think of it like a concrete box placed on top of the lift shaft (panel building).
I miss my white 1990 GTI. Got rid of it after some expensive repairs and a blown engine.
Wow. That’s a lot of odd cars for such a small place! In my city (San Sebastián) we get to see some odd stuff we don’t normally see, mostly cars with french and british plates (a Ferrari 488 Pista and a Lotus Exige 380 come to mind), but they don’t look that far off around the “incomparable frame”.
Great review, William. I got to drive one of those and it felt pretty much how you described it. Got the chance to drive an older RS Sierra as well (unforgetable experiences). I want to add some info, though.
You said: “Mechanically, the car was a direct evolution of the Sierra Cosworth, but with the addition of…
I have driven in Far East Russia a few times. Parkings and stuff like that are easy, you got booths on both sides. The thing that got on my nerves was overtaking (while asking the copilot) and some intersections. Oh, and as Soviet suplus flying fortress of fun mentioned, using the wipers each time I wanted to signal..
Many, many places in Far East Russia have booths and controls on both sides. In the places that don’t, you ask your copilot for help, or use an extender
The dome is being used to dismantle and clean the site. It has a powerful crane inside.
Xenon has a half life of 5 days.. I’d be more worried for the Cesium, that’s the real hazard for us, soft humans.
Montero is a pretty common surname here, and its meaning is basically “hunt scout”. “Montería” applies to the hunting of wild boars, or other big animals. So it makes perfect sense to call an off-roader Montero.
Ahh, the Pajero.. bringing smiles to spanish speaking people since inmemorial times 1982.
It’s a license plate holder assembly with lights. It’s probably like the ones used in caravans / trailers. The rear bumper is not the final production item and has no place for the plate, so they just bolted the holder and called it a day.
License plate lights..
Efectivamente.
