Astonishing as I thought Japan was among the most veggie-friendly countries in Asia. So many vegetarian cookbooks based on Japanese cuisine fooled me I guess.

Yea watched that show religiously back in 1995-96. My last year in Canada before leaving to start grad studies overseas was really bummed out when it was cancelled.

I am Canadian and I loved ketchup chips growing up ... now that I exiled myself to Europe this is one junk food I miss. If I were still there I’d mail some to you. Heck I’d mail some to me too. :(
