The guy who wrote this episode hadn't written one since the Ghost Rider arc, and I'm assuming that's why they trusted him with this… but in the end, it should've been Jed Whedon writing and Kevin T. directing. I know it was meant to be a culmination of the 3 pods, but it skirted closer to the Rider pod, which was the

This was exactly my thought process. I actually thought "this is not the best acting performance I've seen Ian give this season… OHHHHH I GET IT". I went from underwhelmed to completely satisfied.

Hellmouth

This just isn't true, though. Rollins got SO MUCH shit when he injured Balor. This was after Bret Hart had called him unsafe… then this happened and everyone started saying Bret may be right. Rollins had to defend himself in multiple interviews afterward. He had a ton of heat from the marks.

I think people are making to much to do about this… BUT to play devil''s advocate, there should be some conscious decision making to be slightly less aggressive with a guy that just came back from a serious injury.
Shit happens, but you should be extra careful in a situation like this.

I think you could apply this exact philosophy to the concept of feminism itself. Overall, I really like the idea of it, and think it's a great thing… but there are problematic aspects of it (mostly the people themselves that don't really get what it's supposed to actually be about) that make it less appealing to be a

I just thought the songs were underwhelming. It's one of the best singing casts on TV right now, so I guess I was just expecting more impressive music… Loved the social issue tackling but…
I think they should've switched up the musical genres more though. They barely got to show off their chops.

I just did, and it was ok… at best.

Everyone on Twitter gets offended by everything… if we live by those rules, the word "if" would no longer exist on social media.

IDK… Season 6 is my favorite, and he wasn't around for most of it. Love the whole "life is the big bad" storyline. Resonated with me.

Haven't watched the show, but the word "slayer" intrigues me…

A season 1 Angel reference is about as hardcore as one gets into the Whedonsphere. Respect.

It happened!

I don't think your points are wrong (though I'm actually excited for the NG crossover) but when compared to many other shows, even shows I love like Buffy, 3 episodes away from the main setting is actually pretty long. Most shows end plot threads like this by the end of the 1st ep back… 2nd at most.

"aggressive heterosexuality" lol what???

Yes, but really it's just been the last two seasons.

So, I'm gonna apologize for this before I even do it but… I have a podcast that does episode by episode review of Freaks and Geeks and we did like 2 hours on this. Spoiler: I pretty much agree.
But we have 2 hosts and 3 people who are watching for the first time, so it's kinda cool.
Anyway, if you feel so inclined,

This is a really funny comment.

"perpetual aesthetic oasis"… Oh AV Club, always making me want to hit you before I praise you.

I'm gonna say yes. They aren't exactly known for continuity and progression.
